
As they were talking, the supervisor, Mike Peters, collapsed. Scott Kraus reacted immediately. He called 911, but knew he couldn’t wait for paramedics. Instead, he started CPR.
Peters had emergency open heart surgery and will face recovery time before returning to work—not a bad prognosis for a man Scott Kraus wasn’t sure had lived or died as the ambulance drove him away.
