Frequently Asked Questions
We are often asked the same questions by those considering working with us. So, we took the time to put together this Q&A. Hopefully it answers all of your questions, but if not, you can always contact us.
Some Questions You Might Be Having...
1. What exactly does your company do?
The simplest way to describe what we do is that we are the human resources (HR) department for small businesses. Our mission is to protect and support small businesses, making them key to achieving The American Dream. We offer our clients total Human Resources and Healthcare compliance solutions and best practices.
2. Who are your ideal clients?
Our ideal clients are businesses that are ready, willing, and able to invest in their business and their workforce. Our clients recognize that they may have employee morale issues, retention issues, or compliance issues, but the most important aspect is that they are ready to make the changes necessary to correct or improve them. Our clients must be receptive to feedback, input, as well as new processes for their business. You must be ready to improve your workplace.
3. How are you different from other human resources consultancies?
We are a team of experts. Together we are your full-service, outsourced Human Resources department. We have the ability to customize a package for your small business, no matter what the stage, life cycle, or conditions. We have solutions for you. Our team of experts has over 40 years of professional experience and over 20 years of higher education. Our passion is small business and protecting the American dream. Unlike others, our mission is small business—but we happen to be really good at HR.
4. Why type of businesses are NOT ideal clients?
Businesses that are resistant to change that would positively affect or impact their workplace are not ideal clients. Businesses that want to do things the wrong way. Businesses that don’t care about their employees. Businesses that think employee turnover is inevitable. Businesses that think you cannot impact turnover. Businesses that want to hire a consultant to “get around” compliance. Our goal is to protect and positively impact the culture of small businesses, and we refuse to work with businesses that want to do things the wrong way or don’t care about improving their workplace.

5. How does the process to hire your services work?
Simply, there are three ways we work with our clients. We work with them, we do the work for them, or we teach them. The first step is to complete our intake form. This is a series of questions that helps us identify if you are an ideal client, as well as whether we have services to fit your needs or if we should refer an appropriate professional. After the intake form is completed, we have what we call a Get Acquainted Call. During this call, we will ask you clarifying questions to uncover what areas of our services you are most interested in and would be most effective for your business. At the end of this call, you should have sufficient information about our solutions and services to determine whether working with us would be beneficial for your business. If you choose to work with us, and feel that our solutions are of benefit to you, we sign an agreement for services to be rendered, and move you forward in the process of scheduling your initial and future projects. We will also send you what we call an Engagement Letter that will outline our processes further. When you have future projects, you complete a simple Client Project Request Form to add them to our queue.
6. I have a tight budget and I’m afraid I can’t afford your services. What are your rates?
We have different programs at different price points. We find that clients discover a realm of services suitable to their budget. The types of results our clients see are priceless.
7. What results can I expect?
No matter what stage your business, you can expect to receive protection against costly lawsuits and government fines by creating compliance in your Human Resources and Healthcare processes.
Additionally, the types of solutions we implement for our clients create:
8. Do you offer a guarantee?
While we cannot directly guarantee your protection against lawsuits or government fines (because we cannot control your practices and recordkeeping while we’re not there), the solutions we offer protect a business from these unfortunate events and if you were to end up in a court of law or facing a government fine, hiring our services shows that you invested time and effort into avoiding noncompliant situations and exhibits the fact that you do not condone illegal behavior. This alone will afford you protection. We help clients avoid lawsuits by establishing compliant human resources processes, as well as compliant safety programs and healthcare administration services.

9. Will I recover the investment I put into your programs?
Typically, our clients see the return on their investment with the initial personnel file audit alone. For instance, a 2013 I-9 form audit uncovered and corrected more than $1.6 million in non-compliance had they been audited before corrective action was taken on this form. In addition to protection against non-compliance, hiring us allows the business to outsource the parts of the business that are daunting and they may hate, so they can focus on the parts they love. Our healthcare services and programs have directly impacted the bottom line of businesses up to $30,000 a year. Additionally, increased employee engagement often pays for our programs alone.
10. Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept credit cards, as well as check and cash.
11. What if I want to learn how to do it myself?
We have many training options. Our Elite HR Business School is hand’s-on audit and non-compliance correction training. We offer this training virtually, so you can complete it on your own time and at your own pace. For those who prefer hard copies, we offer HR Department in a Box. Both programs offer everything you need for compliant HR function, except the handbook (which must be customized and is available separately). In addition, we offer an HR Bootcamp that is a seminar-style employment law review. Both programs review employment law, recruiting and onboarding compliance, anti-discrimination best practices, discipline and termination compliance and more. Throughout the year, we offer seminars and workshops on timely subjects.
12. OK, I know which solution I need. How do we get started?
It’s very simple now that you have chosen the package that meets your need. Our agreement needs to be signed. We will send you additional information on our processes, and one of our experts will get to work for you. You will have a dedicated contact in our office and we will keep you updated on our workflow progress.
13. I have a family and busy life. I want to work with you, but don’t have much time to spare. How much time do I need?
Well, that’s the beauty of hiring us. Our solutions save business owners time, which is money. After your initial consultation, you will decide whether you work with us, we teach you, or we work for you. You can customize the amount of time you want to dedicate to these processes. All of our clients are busy balancing work, home, and social life.
14. OK, I’m ready to do this for my business, but I have some additional questions. Can I call you?
